The Power of Community
Happy September, Blossoms!
We make it a point to welcome in new blessings every month. There is nothing like a clean slate and the newness of God!
As you welcome in new blessings this month, take a moment to reflect on your community. What does your village look like? Is God calling you to a new community? Is he asking you to dig deeper in the community that you are already in?
The Lord reminds us in Matthew 18:20 (NLT), “For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.” When we come together in prayer, in worship, or in fellowship, we are welcoming God’s presence.
Women, I challenge you to dig deeper in your community. Offer a helping hand, a kind word or offer support to a neighbor. Share a testimony, and talk to someone about God this month. You never know what the next person is going through, or when it’ll be your time to need support from a friend. Lean into TBC community and find your footing. We love you, and God loves you MORE!

For our avid readers, occasional readers, and not-at-all readers..this book is highly recommended for the woman, wife and or mother in her household. In her book, Jennifer talks about habits to keeping a sacred home. This book is a blessing and fresh breath of air! A deep, yet lighthearted read that reminds us of our roles as women in Christ. Doing things the way that God intended! There are also study guide questions and recipes at the end of each chapter. This read is recommended for women in all stages of their walk. Enjoy, and let us know if you end up reading it. Share your thoughts with us or a friend!
An Encouraging Word
“Starting with Samuel, every prophet spoke about what is happening today. You are the children of those prophets, and you are included in the covenant God promised to your ancestors. For God said to Abraham, ‘Through your descendants all the families on earth will be blessed.’” Acts 3:24–25 (NLT)
Hold on to this promise. We face many trials every day, just as God intends us to. Trust in his plan, his word and his promise. God will always take care of his children. There will be light in the morning..have faith, sis!

New Memories?
Writing this blog has been one of the hardest things I’ve tried to do. Not because I don’t know what to say, but because there are so many layers to my relationship with my dad. He has Alzheimer’s now, and while that’s a heavy enough diagnosis on its own, the weight is different when the relationship wasn’t perfect to begin with.
Alzheimer’s runs in my family. My grandma—his mom—had it, too. Sometimes I wonder if it’s only a matter of time before I end up with it myself. My memory isn’t the best already, and while I don’t want to speak that over my life, I know it’s a possibility.
But back to my dad…
Faith Meets Fashion: Fall Edition!
To the girlies who want to dig deeper into thrifting, here’s a simple hack for you…create a Pinterest board for all of the outfits that you like. You can start with just shoes or just jeans and work your way to a style board, piece by piece.
You can then take that board with you (on your phone) when thrifting, to give you a better sense of direction. It helps me to strategically look for items instead of just blindly searching at the store. It can already be overwhelming when thrifting, so I hope this makes it a bit easier!
